Pioneering the Path of Technological Leadership in Thailand

Under the leadership of Mr. Kulchoke Popattanachai, President and CEO of the A.I. Group and A.I.Technology are revolutionizing Thailand's industrial landscape by integrating advanced innovations such as AI and IoT. These technologies not only enhance product and service development but also align with ESG principles, creating value for customers and society alike.

Innovation Rooted in a Culture of Learning

Mr. Kulchoke firmly believes that innovation begins by identifying future business trends and pinpointing areas for development. By fostering competitiveness through the preparation of people, equipment, time, and financial resources, he ensures an environment conducive to breakthrough ideas.
He emphasizes creating a corporate culture where employees feel free to express their ideas without fear of failure. Through the "Show & Share" concept, employees share both successes and failures, fostering a continuous learning process and promoting creativity.

AI + IoT : The Keys to the Future

In Mr. Kulchoke's perspective, AI and IoT are essential to adding "value" to products and services. AI optimizes design and minimizes errors, while IoT facilitates real-time data connectivity, enabling swift and efficient responses.
By combining AI with IoT, the company leverages data analytics and machine learning, particularly in quality assurance. This has led to the development of platforms focusing on automation processes, integrating data with production and services. The approach enhances agility, reduces waste and energy consumption, and incorporates ESG principles throughout—from cost reduction to ensuring stable returns for employees and communities.

Value-Added Strategies for Competitive Success

Recognizing Thailand's current economic challenges—being a middle-income, aging, and financially strained nation—Mr. Kulchoke highlights the need for value-added approaches under ESG principles:

  • Innovation: Enhancing competitiveness, solving problems effectively, and creating new opportunities.
  • Automation: Developing platforms that seamlessly integrate hardware and software to close supply chain gaps.
  • Service: Using data-driven strategies to deepen customer understanding, enhance experiences, improve strategic decision-making, and achieve precise outcomes.

People and Organizational Culture: The Heart of Success

In addition to technological investment, A.I. Technology prioritizes continuous workforce development. This includes training, workshops, on-the-job training, and practical application, aiming to equip employees to meet customer needs effectively.
The company also established a Facilitator Team (Fa Team) to support skill development for over a decade. Cultural initiatives, such as walk rallies for new employees, instill the organization’s "ABCDE" values: Adaptive, Brotherhood, Corporation, Dedicated, and Energetic. Daily work routines emphasize "SPEC": Support, Practice, Enjoy, and Commitment, nurturing personal and team growth.

Collaborations with Partners

Mr. Kulchoke highlights partnerships with SCG and academic institutions to advance innovations like Cement 3D Printing and automation curricula developed with Pathumthani Technical College. These collaborations include equipping labs, supporting educational tools, and conducting research on IoT and digital transformation with institutions like Burapha University and Suranaree University of Technology.
Additionally, A.I. Technology has collaborated with Thai Automation and Robotics Association (TARA), JApan Robot System Integrator Association (JARSIA), and Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) to organize the Basic to Advanced Robot Training courses and conduct competency assessments based on Japan’s Robot and Automation System Professional Standards (Robot SI) for industrial personnel. In 2024, the company hosted training sessions in partnership with MITSUBISHI, YASKAWA, and FANUC, totaling 11 batches with 78 participants from 15 Thai SI companies. Furthermore, preparations are underway for the Level 3 Robot SI Exam, scheduled for February 18–21, 2025, with an expected participation of approximately 18 Thai engineers for the Pre-Certification assessment.

Recent Innovations

  • Cement 3D Printer: Co-developed with SCG's Research & Innovation division, this 3D printing technology overcomes design limitations in cement-based products and reduces production costs.

  • ASRS/Mini Storage Solutions: Automated storage systems with tailored Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and robotic sorting reduce labor use by over 60%, ensure 100% accuracy in storage and retrieval, and minimize errors.

Conclusion

With over three decades of success, the A.I. Group and A.I. Technology exemplify how Thai companies can innovate and grow by adopting cutting-edge technologies. Through investments in both technology and people, the company continues to deliver value, support sustainability, and shape the future of the Thai industrial sector.
