Mr. Surapong Paisitpatanapong, Vice-Chairman and the spokesman for the Automotive Industry Group, the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), in the press conference, revealed the total production for all vehicles in November and the expected total number for 2023.

Total car production

The November production reached at 163,337 units. It decreased 14.10% Year-on-Year (YoY) and increased 2.90% from October 2023 as 164,093 units. Produced for domestic use decreased 15.51% (YoY) and produced for export decreased 13.02% (YoY). Produced passenger cars for export decreased 25.96% (YoY) The production number this year totaled 1,708,042 units, drop 0.98% from the same period of last year.  

Total production of 163,337 vehicles in November 2023, composed of:

- Passenger car production at 60,396 units, 13.56% decrease (YoY) 
     - Internal Combustion Engine at 42,490 units, 27.89% decrease (YoY)
     - Battery Electric Vehicle at 0 units
     - Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle at 750 units, 44.97% decrease (YoY)
     - Hybrid Electric Vehicle at 17,156 units, 78.99% increase (YoY)
- Bus under 10 tons and over 10 tons, at 8 units, 38.46% decrease (YoY)
- Truck at 102,933 units, 14.42% decrease (YoY)
- 1 Ton Pickup truck at 99,234 units, 15.04% decrease (YoY)
- Pickup truck less than 5 tons – over 10 tons, at 3,699 units, 6.35% increase (YoY)

Car production for export

In November 2023, the car production for export totaled 93,372 units, representing 57.17% of the total production, decreasing 13.02% (YoY)

- 26,947 passenger cars, down 25.96% (YoY)
- One-ton pickup truck for export at 66,425 units, 6.38% decrease (YoY)

Car production for domestic use

In November 2023, there were 69,965 units produced for domestic use, representing 42.83% of the whole production or a decrease of 15.51% (YoY)

- 33,449 passenger cars, 0.07% decrease (YoY)
- One-ton pickup truck at 32,809 units, 28.43% decrease (YoY)
