Chonburi Leads with the Highest Number of Industrial Factories in January 2025

The Department of Industrial Works, Ministry of Industry, has released the latest statistics on the number of industrial factories that received operating licenses nationwide in January 2025. A total of 147 factories were granted licenses, with a combined investment value of 18,119.94 million baht. Chonburi province led the pack with 34 new factory licenses and a total investment of over 3,835.65 million baht.

Top 3 Provinces with the Most Factory Licenses in January 2025

1) Chonburi – 34 factories, total investment of 3,835.65 million baht, employing 1,769 workers, with a total machine capacity of 50,786.41 horsepower.

2) Samut Prakan – 17 factories, total investment of 725.40 million baht, employing 415 workers, with a total machine capacity of 4,512.53 horsepower.

3) Pathum Thani – 11 factories, total investment of 3,750.55 million baht, employing 317 workers, with a total machine capacity of 17,462.85 horsepower.

When considering only provinces with the highest increase in total industrial investment, the top three are: Prachinburi (5,044.41 million baht), followed by Chonburi (3,835.65 million baht) and Pathum Thani (3,750.55 million baht).

These statistics reflect the growing industrial development and investment in these key provinces, showcasing their importance in Thailand's industrial landscape.
