
Chonburi Leads with the Highest Number of Industrial Factories in February 2025
The Department of Industrial Works, Ministry of Industry, has released the latest statistics on the number of industrial factories that received operating licenses nationwide in February 2025. A total of 144 factories were granted licenses, with a combined investment value of 22,858.73 million baht. Chonburi province led the pack with 33 new factory licenses and a total investment of over 2,174.90 million baht.
Top 3 Provinces with the Most Factory Licenses in February 2025
1) Chonburi – 33 factories, total investment of 2,174.90 million baht, employing 1,074 workers, with a total machine capacity of 12,779.91 horsepower.
2) Samut Sakhon – 13 factories, total investment of 3,254.09 million baht, employing 491 workers, with a total machine capacity of 5,829.67 horsepower.
3) Samut Prakan – 10 factories, total investment of 872.1 million baht, employing 532 workers, with a total machine capacity of 65,151.77 horsepower.
When considering only provinces with the highest increase in total industrial investment, the top three are: Ayutthaya (8,930.61 million baht), followed by Samut Sakhon (3,254.09 million baht) and Chonburi (2,174.90 million baht).
