Chonburi Leads with the Highest Number of Industrial Factories in August 2024
The Department of Industrial Works, Ministry of Industry, has released the latest statistics on the number of industrial factories that received licenses nationwide in August 2024. A total of 183 factories were granted licenses, with a combined investment of 14,551.68 million baht. Chonburi province led the pack with 26 new factory licenses and a total investment of 1,530.30 million baht.
Top 3 Provinces with the Most Factory Licenses in August 2024
1) Chonburi: 26 licenses, 1,530.30 million baht in investments, 1,128 new jobs, 67,187.91 horsepower in machinery.
2) Samut Prakan: 18 licenses, 985.93.52 million baht in investments, 953 new jobs, 7,825.28 horsepower in machinery
3) Samut Sakhon: 13 licenses, 462.26 million baht in investments, 539 new jobs, 3,626.52 horsepower in machinery
When comparing the provinces with the highest increase in industrial investment, Ayutthaya topped the list with a total investment of 5,045.68 million baht, followed by Chonburi with 1,530.30 million baht, and Lamphun with 1,271.00 million baht.
These statistics reflect the growing industrial development and investment in these key provinces, showcasing their importance in Thailand's industrial landscape.
