Chonburi Leads with the Highest Number of Industrial Factories in December 2024

The Department of Industrial Works, Ministry of Industry, has released the latest statistics on the number of industrial factories that received licenses nationwide in December 2024. A total of 141 factories were granted licenses, with a combined investment of 11,327.25 million baht. Chonburi province led the pack with 14 new factory licenses and a total investment of 816.28 million baht.
Top 3 Provinces with the Most Factory Licenses in December 2024
1) Chonburi: 14 licenses, 816.28 million baht in investments, 358 new jobs, 4,460.61 horsepower in machinery.
2) Nakhon Pathom: 9 licenses, 1,564.60 million baht in investments, 187 new jobs, 61,764.82 horsepower in machinery
3) Bangkok: 8 licenses, 560.09 million baht in investments, 382 new jobs, 2,716.48 horsepower in machinery
When comparing the provinces with the highest increase in industrial investment, Surin: topped the list with a total investment of 1,722.27 million baht, followed by Nakhon Pathom with 1,564.60 million baht, and Samut Prakan with 1,055.23 million baht.
These statistics reflect the growing industrial development and investment in these key provinces, showcasing their importance in Thailand's industrial landscape.
