Rayong Leads with the Highest Number of Industrial Factories in June 2024
The Department of Industrial Works, Ministry of Industry, has released the latest statistics on the number of industrial factories that received licenses nationwide in June 2024. A total of 183 factories were granted licenses, with a combined investment of 20,870.47 million baht. Rayong province led the pack with 23 new factory licenses and a total investment of 1,300.70 million baht.
Top 3 Provinces with the Most Factory Licenses in May 2024
1) Rayong: 23 licenses, 1,300.70 million baht in investments, 576 new jobs, 17,593.53 horsepower in machinery.
2) Pathum Thani: 19 licenses, 730.67 million baht in investments, 404 new jobs, 17,525.88 horsepower in machinery
3) Samut Sakhon: 17 licenses, 1,334.83 million baht in investments, 1,045 new jobs, 4,353.41 horsepower in machinery
When comparing the provinces with the highest increase in industrial investment, Bangkok topped the list with a total investment of 10,109.74 million baht, followed by Songkhla with 1,753.63 million baht, and Samut Sakhon with 1,334.83 million baht.
These statistics reflect the growing industrial development and investment in these key provinces, showcasing their importance in Thailand's industrial landscape.
