Thailand’s Automotive Production Reaches 135,685 Units in October 2025, Up 14.17% Year-on-Year
The Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), through Surapong Paisitpatanapong, Advisor and Spokesperson of the Automotive Industry Club, reported that Thailand produced 135,685 vehicles in October 2025, marking a 14.17% increase year-on-year and a 5.92% rise from September 2025. Total production from January to October 2025 reached 1,211,486 units, a slight 2.84% decline from the same period last year.

Total Vehicle Production
In October 2025, Thailand produced 135,685 vehicles, up 5.92% from September 2025 and 14.17% higher year-on-year.
From January to October 2025, total production reached 1,211,486 units, down 2.84% from the same period in 2024.
Passenger Cars
In October 2025, 55,997 passenger cars were produced, up 17.94% year-on-year.
For January–October 2025, production totaled 451,710 units, accounting for 37.29% of total vehicle output, down 4.74% compared to the same period last year.
- Internal Combustion Engine (ICE): 24,507 units, down 24.84% YoY (Jan–Oct: 208,827 units, down 30.84%)
- Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV): 9,393 units, up 1265.26% YoY (Jan–Oct: 50,576 units, up 530.15%)
- Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV): 682 units, up 36.40% YoY (Jan–Oct: 16,484 units, up 225.32%)
- Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV): 21,415 units, up 56.47% YoY (Jan–Oct: 175,823 units, up 10.46%)
Trucks
A total of 79,688 trucks were produced in October 2025, up 11.67% from the previous year.
During January–October 2025, production stood at 759,776 units, down 1.67% year-on-year.
1-Ton Pickup Trucks
Production of 1-ton pickups in October 2025 reached 78,386 units, up 11.16% year-on-year. For January–October 2025, 751,418 units were produced (down 0.83% YoY), accounting for 62.02% of total production, comprising:
- Pickup truck (chassis cab): 10,639 units, down 1.66% YoY (Jan–Oct: 117,050 units, down 2.84%)
- Double-cab pickup: 49,505 units, up 8.74% YoY (Jan–Oct: 479,023 units, down 4.28%)
- Double-cab BEV: 30 units, up 100% YoY (Jan–Oct: 225 units, up 100%)
- PPV (Pickup Passenger Vehicle): 18,212 units, up 28.55% YoY (Jan–Oct: 155,090 units, up 13.39%)
Heavy Trucks (5–10 tons and above)
In October 2025, 1,302 units were produced, up 53.72% YoY.
From January–October 2025, 8,358 units were produced, down 44.09% compared with the same period last year.
Vehicles Produced for Export
In October 2025, vehicles produced for export totaled 82,603 units, accounting for 60.88% of total production, a 5.86% decrease year-on-year.
- Passenger cars: 20,509 units, down 24.56% YoY (Jan–Oct: 175,496 units, down 31.66%)
- 1-ton pickups: 62,094 units, up 2.54% YoY (Jan–Oct: 615,801 units, up 81.95%)
- Pickup: 5,202 units, down 12.44% YoY (Jan–Oct: 64,973 units, up 26.79%)
- Double-cab pickup: 43,911 units, up 2.60% YoY (Jan–Oct: 432,825 units, up 2.47%)
- PPV: 12,981 units, up 9.87% YoY (Jan–Oct: 118,003 units, up 7.21%)
Vehicles Produced for Domestic Sales
Production for the domestic market in October 2025 totaled 53,082 units, or 39.12% of total production, up 70.68% from October 2024.
From January–October 2025, domestic production reached 420,189 units, up 9.16% year-on-year.
- Passenger cars: 35,488 units, up 74.87% YoY (Jan–Oct: 276,214 units, up 27.06%)
- 1-ton pickups: 16,292 units, up 63.57% YoY (Jan–Oct: 135,617 units, down 11.13%)
- Pickup (chassis cab): 5,437 units, up 11.46% YoY (Jan–Oct: 52,077 units, down 24.77%)
- Double-cab pickup: 5,624 units, up 106.01% YoY (Jan–Oct: 46,453 units, down 18.04%)
- PPV: 5,231 units, up 122.41% YoY (Jan–Oct: 37,087 units, up 38.85%)
No production was recorded for buses or vehicles above 10 tons in October 2025 or during January–October 2025.
