Thailand’s Auto Production in August 2025 Falls 6.11% YoY, but BEVs Surge 2,018%
Thailand produced a total of 112,366 vehicles in August 2025, up 1.58% from July but down 6.11% year-on-year. The decline was mainly driven by stricter environmental and safety regulations in trading partner countries, which pressured exports.
Battery electric vehicles (BEVs), however, recorded remarkable growth, soaring 2,018% YoY, reflecting a strong shift in production toward the EV segment despite overall industry headwinds.
