Samut Prakan Leads with the Highest Number of Industrial Factories in September 2024

The Department of Industrial Works, Ministry of Industry, has released the latest statistics on the number of industrial factories that received licenses nationwide in September 2024. A total of 257 factories were granted licenses, with a combined investment of 27,000.34 million baht. Samut Prakan  province led the pack with 53 new factory licenses and a total investment of  3,406.25 million baht.

Top 3 Provinces with the Most Factory Licenses in September 2024

1) Samut Prakan​​: 53 licenses, 3,406.25 million baht in investments, 1,760 new jobs, 25,857.32 horsepower in machinery.

2) Chonburi: 41 licenses,  5,116.28 million baht in investments, 1,647 new jobs, 31,975.23 horsepower in machinery

3) Phathum Thani: 18 licenses, 1,098.51 million baht in investments, 584 new jobs, 31,255.94 horsepower in machinery

When comparing the provinces with the highest increase in industrial investment, Chonburi topped the list with a total investment of 5,116.28 million baht, followed by Ayutthaya with 4,605.56 million baht, and Samut Prakan with 3,406.25 million baht.

These statistics reflect the growing industrial development and investment in these key provinces, showcasing their importance in Thailand's industrial landscape.
