Chonburi Leads Thailand in New Industrial Factories in October 2025

Thailand sees total investment of 31,267.34​ billion baht from 111 new factories nationwide

The Department of Industrial Works (DIW), Ministry of Industry, has released its nationwide industrial factory licensing statistics for October 2025. A total of 111 factories were approved during the month, representing a combined investment value of 31,267.34 million baht. Chonburi province topped the list with 21 licensed factories, accounting for 3,640.32 million baht in total investment.


Top Provinces by Number of New Factories

For October 2025, the top three provinces with the highest number of approved factories were:

  • Chonburi – 21 factories, 3,640.32​ million baht in total investment, 1,618 employees, and 35,787.09 horsepower in machinery capacity.

  • Samut Sakhon – 15 factories, 734.98 million baht in total investment, 837 employees, and 13,154.06 horsepower in machinery capacity.

  • Chachoengsao​ – 6 factories, 22,504.80 million baht in total investment, 132 employees, and 1,087,530.43 horsepower in machinery capacity, and Ubon Ratchathani – also 6 factories, 125.68 million baht in total investment, 41 employees, and 2,178.56 horsepower in machinery capacity.

When comparing by investment value, the top three provinces in October were:

  • Chachoengsao – 22,504.80 million baht
  • Chonburi – 3,640.32 million baht
  • Mukdahan​ – 1,836.14 million baht
