The Next-Generation Automotive Research Center under Thailand Automotive Institute released the report on the new registration of Electric Vehicles (xEV) and electric motorcycles as the followings:

The new registration for Electric Vehicles (xEV) in September 2022 totaled 8,996 units, increasing 12.6% (MoM), accounting for 9.9% of the total newly registered vehicles. 

• For Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) and Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV), the new registration totaled 7,758 units, comprising 6,675 HEVs and 1,083 PHEVs, an increase of 182% (YoY) and 80% (YoY) in order. 
• The new registration for BEV totaled 1,238 units, a decrease of 0.2% (MoM) and rising of 384% (YoY), according to the steady increasing public interest in EV.

The new registration for motor vehicles in September 2022 totaled 9,0450 units, an increase of 43% from the same period of the previous year. There were internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles totaled 81,454 units, accounting for 90% of the total newly registered vehicles and the growth rate increased by 36%

In September 2022, the registration for new electric motorcycles totaled 1,015 units, a decrease of 9% (MoM), accounting for 0.6% of the total newly registered motorcycles. 

There were only 43 HEVs and the growth rate continued to decline. This is the result from the performance and fuel consumption is not different from the ICE car, while the BEV is still popular. Although the BEV's volume was not much at 972 units, it's likely to continue to grow with an increasing 193% and almost all of them were personal motorcycles

• For HEV, the new registration totaled 43 units, decreasing 36% (YoY) and the number was less than the previous month which 72 HEV motorcycles were registered.     

• The new registration for BEV totaled 972 units, an increase of 193% (YoY) and the number was less than the previous month which 1,047 BEV motorcycles were registered.   

The new registration for motorcycles in September 2022 totaled 166,691 units, a increase of 35% from the same period of the previous year. There were internal combustion engine (ICE) motorcycles totaled 165,676 units, accounting for 99.4% of the total newly registered vehicles and the growth rate increased by 35%
