Department of Industrial Works, Ministry of Industry reported that 132 new factories nationwide were licensed in July 2022. The employment increased with more 3,384 people hired whereas the total capital was 9,373.70 million baht, decreasing from 9,758.77 baht of the previous month. 

Samut Prakan was the province where 15 new factories opened, the largest number with the total capital of 1,041.96 million baht.

In July 2022, the top three provinces where newly licensed factories are located are as follows: 

1) Samut Prakan - There were 15 new licensed factories with the total capital of 1,041.96 million baht. The employment increased with 673 more hires. The total machine power was 6,268.21 hp.

2) Chonburi - There were 13 new licensed factories with the total capital of 450.48 million baht. The employment increased with 452 more hires. The total machine power was 2,742.72 hp.

3) Samut Sakhon - There were 7 new licensed factories with the total capital of 184.50 million baht. The employment increased with 255 more hires. The total machine power was 2,693.64 hp.

 

However, when comparing only with the factory capital in the province, the champion was Chai Nat with the total capital of 3,520.50 million baht. The followings were Samut Prakan at 1,041.96 million baht, Pathum Thani at 1,017.40 million baht, Rayong at 761.98 million baht and Chonburi at 450.48 million baht.
