Nissan and Honda Aim to Differentiate Themselves by Designs

Nissan Tries Out Italian Design in GT-R 

Nissan Automotive and Italdesign Giugiaro collaboratively designed a prototype of the sports car “GT-R” as a model for the 50th anniversary celebration. The design is highlighted with gold panels and the roof lowered by 54 mm. The debut is set to be in Europe in July.  

Nissan’s UK and US bases are responsible for the exterior design while Italdesign is responsible for designing, developing and manufacturing. To improve the running performance and the efficiency of the intake and exhaust system, the car is equipped with a 3.8-liter “VR38DETT” V6 engine with a maximum output of 720 horsepower and a maximum torque of 780 Newton meters. 

Honda Advances Its Complete Car Design Under New Branding

Honda launched its “complete car,” which had developed to be a commercial vehicle, under the new branding of “Modulo Style.” Its design has been improved with uniquely customized parts. The first model based on compact car “FIT” (or known as “Jazz”) will be launched in Japan during summer and other models are under consideration to be launched as well. On its homepage, Honda has disclosed parts of the information on FIT (Jazz) Modulo Style and will reveal the rest such as the price afterward.  

In addition, Honda is also promoting a brand of complete car “Modulo X,” which mainly highlights its driving performance and design. At the moment, the Modulo Style highlights its design only.
