GLM announced the development of sport EV with Kyocera’s collaboration on May 22. “Tommykaira ZZ” (as illustrated) of GLM, as the pioneer automobile, was installed with more than 12 types of Kyocera’s technology such as touch-screen monitor. Mr. Tomohisa Tanaka, managing director of GLM opined that “it is a performing automobile with practical driving functions and others.”

The body was designed to install Kyocera’s technologies such as specially thin amplifiers produced by ceramic technology, climate controlled seats installed with semiconductor elements. Among many functions, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) is expected to be installed as well to provide driving support.

Originally, Kyocera had expressed its determination to offer its technologies to automobile producers. Thus, the cooperation with GLM would provide a good opportunity to Kyocera to promote more strength to its business and technology development.
