Okuma Techno (Thailand) Ltd., in collaboration with its partners, is hosting the “LUNCH & LEARN 5-AXIS MACHINING CENTERS SEMINAR 2024” from July 25-26, 2024, at the company's headquarters in Bangkok. This event aims to equip part manufacturers with the latest technology to meet the high demand, particularly in the electronics and semiconductor industries.

Mr. Ken Kondo, Managing Director, Regional Head of ASEAN, Okuma Techno (Thailand) Ltd., welcomed the attendees and emphasized, "5-axis technology will support future trends by increasing productivity, reducing machining steps to a single process, and significantly lowering production costs. Especially for the growing electronics and semiconductor industries. Additionally, Okuma's Green-Smart Machine technology helps reduce carbon dioxide emissions. This event will showcase Okuma's latest MU-V III series technology for the first time in Thailand."

Showcasing the Latest OKUMA MU-V III Series

This event marked the first time OKUMA Thailand unveiled the latest MU-V III series, a cutting-edge 5-axis machining center poised to make waves in Thailand's high-value parts manufacturing market.

The MU-V III series machining centers highlight the Thermo-Friendly Concept, reducing setup time for warming up and compensating various parameters. This results in exceptional machining accuracy, superior surface finishes, and extended tool life.

Another standout feature is ServoNavi, which enhances machining accuracy and stability. It offers two modes: ServoNavi AI (Artificial Intelligence) that automatically optimizes machine settings based on factors such as workpiece weight and inertia moment, adjusting parameters and acceleration rates for each axis accordingly. ServoNavi SF (Surface Fine-tuning) ensures prolonged machine life by fine-tuning servo parameters to match specific cutting conditions.

The 5-Axis Auto Tuning System ensures consistent machining accuracy by automatically calibrating the machine. Using a datum sphere and touch probe, this process can be completed in just 5-15 minutes, minimizing geometry errors.

These cutting-edge technologies underscore OKUMA's commitment to Green-Smart Machines, reducing energy consumption and contributing to carbon neutrality.

The event also features technology presentations from partners such as Sandvik Coromant, Cimatron by MBS Best Service, CG Tech Vericut, and Haimer Thailand. The LUNCH & LEARN 5-AXIS MACHINING CENTERS SEMINAR 2024 was warmly received by customers, with Okuma Techno (Thailand) Ltd. expressing gratitude for their steadfast support.

Ms. Chanapa Lertrungruang, General Manager of M Report, also attended the event, presenting a flower basket to congratulate the company.
