Positive Results for Mitsubishi Motors Thailand Continues in Q3 2018

Mr. Morikazu Chokki, President and CEO of Mitsubishi Motors Thailand recently announced its Q3 (July – September) sales results, which were positive and continued the automaker’s upward trend so far in 2018, and putting the company on the right track to its 2018 targets.
 
From July to September 2018, Mitsubishi Motors Thailand sold 20,156 vehicles against Thailand’s industry total of 257,466 vehicles. This was a growth of 24.1% compared with the same quarter in 2017.
 
In year-to-date (YTD) terms, Mitsubishi Motors Thailand moved 61,257 vehicles out of its showrooms from January to September 2018. This is a growth of 25.6% compared with the same period last year. Mitsubishi Motors Thailand’s YTD market share stands at 8.2%, against 7.9 percent in the previous year.
 
In comparison, the industry sold a total 746,581 units, registering a growth of 20.3% compared with the same period in 2017.

Mr. Chokki attributed Mitsubishi Motors Thailand’s success to a few factors. 

“We have the right product mix. We have launched very relevant products with performance, technology, design, safety and utility. We also back our vehicles with dedicated customer service that this year has been ranked the 2nd in Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) Study by J.D. Power with a score that is above the industry average. While our rank in Sales Satisfaction Index (SSI) Study leaped to the 4th,” Mr. Chokki concluded. 

Mitsubishi Motors Thailand has successfully launched a slew of exciting and technologically-advanced products in 2018 from the limited editions and new model-years of Mitsubishi Attrage and Mitsubishi Mirage, Mitsubishi Pajero Sport Limited Edition, to Mitsubishi Xpander. 

More exciting products launch before the end of the year will help achieve the market share of more than 8% against a total industry volume of about 1,000,000 units.
