Promoting Global Recognition for Taiwan Excellence in Medical Innovations
Pei-Yu Lin begins by highlighting the core objective of their participation in the Medical Fair Thailand 2023. She states, “Our goal is to enhance global recognition for Made-In-Taiwan products, especially in terms of reliability and cutting-edge technology derived from robust research and development.”
Government Support and Private Sector Vigor
When asked about the support received from the Taiwan government, Pei-Yu Lin affirms, “Yes, we do receive substantial support. Additionally, we provide comprehensive market research, consultations, and assistance to our private sector for their ventures into the global market. However, Taiwanese companies themselves also exhibit tremendous dedication and eagerness to compete on the global stage.”
Thailand's Emergence as an ASEAN Medical Hub
Drawing comparisons between Thailand and other ASEAN markets, Pei-Yu Lin points out Thailand's strategic initiatives to establish itself as the medical hub of ASEAN. “The Thai government is actively promoting the country's potential in the medical industry, and that's why we've chosen to participate in Medical Fair Thailand 2023.”
Taiwan's Remarkable Position in the Global Medical Landscape
While Taiwan may be relatively new to this field, its confidence stems from expertise in semiconductors, often referred to as the “brain” of medical devices. Pei-Yu Lin emphasizes, “The government collaborates closely with the private sector for research and development, as well as market research, resulting in the creation of exceptional products with global reach. These products then undergo rigorous engineering and production processes, areas where Taiwanese companies excel. This holistic approach positions Taiwan as a total solution provider for medical devices, instilling confidence in our foray into the global medical sector.”
